Actress-turned-CNN anchor Andrea Thompson is turning actress again. She'll have a recurring role on Fox's "24," according to Daily Variety, appearing first in the Nov. 11 episode. "24" has its season premiere Oct. 28 ... HBO has renewed "The Wire" for a third season. Production begins in January.
