Amid applause from those in the studio, KDKA-TV meteorologist Bob Kudzma said a simple good-bye to viewers during yesterday's noon newscast.
"I enjoyed working with everyone here," Kudzma said.
Anchors Susan Barnett and Stacy Smith praised the meteorologist.
"You have won the admiration, the respect of all of your colleagues here," Smith said. "It's been my honor to work with you. You are a professional, and you are a gentleman and what a great sense of wit you have."
Smith said Kudzma will return to the air from time to time.
"On occasion I'll show up and see if you people are performing correctly," Kudzma joked.
