'Guardian' returns
After subsisting for its entire first season on stock footage culled from one day of shooting in Pittsburgh in April 2001, a crew from CBS's "The Guardian" will be back in town to shoot exterior establishing shots the third week of June.
Pittsburgh native and executive producer David Hollander will be here for filming scenes of series star Simon Baker entering and exiting buildings. Those shots, along with new footage of city landmarks, will be stored up for use throughout the show's second season, which begins in the fall.
No word yet on whether any extras will be needed for filming.
TV groom returns
Pittsburgh's Rick Rockwell, who shot to infamy on Fox's "Who Wants to Marry a Multi-Millionaire," returns to town to do stand-up comedy at Funny Bone at Station Square on June 5 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. ($7 tickets) and June 7 and 8 at 8 and 10 p.m. ($13 tickets).
In addition to his "annulment tour" show, he'll also promote his new book, "What Was I Thinking?"
