Pitt lands Clairton defensive end
Friday, August 13, 2010

The Pitt football team has landed its second high school recruit from the WPIAL class of 2011.

Clairton's Desimon Green said he made a verbal commitment to Pitt tonight. Green is a 6-foot-5, 230-pound senior who helped Clairton to WPIAL and PIAA Class A championships last season. He plays quarterback and defensive end, but was recruited to play defensive end.

Green chose Pitt over Texas Tech and Michigan State.

Pitt's other recruit from the WPIAL class of 2011 is Woodland Hills receiver-defensive back Lafayette Pitts.
