A Monessen man has been sentenced to 10 to 20 years in the shooting death outside a Washington County bar of another man who had himself once been charged in a fatal bar shooting.
Nathaniel Jones, 37, pleaded guilty Friday to voluntary manslaughter and a firearms violation.
Authorities said Mr. Jones shot 44-year-old Carl Cohen three times outside Terry's Lounge in Canton in May 2009.
Mr. Cohen and two other men were charged with robbing and killing two men in another Washington County bar in November 2003. Mr. Cohen and another suspect pleaded guilty to lesser charges of robbery and had the homicide charge against them dropped in exchange for testifying against another man who was eventually acquitted.
