A flatbed truck carrying bricks hit a utility pole in Oakland and took out power lines.

The accident occurred before 8 a.m. at Alequippa Street and University Drive. The driver was temporarily trapped in the cab, but was not injured.

Police blocked Alequippa while crews were working at the accident scene.
