Wednesday, March 17, 2010

A Port Authority board committee will hear a proposal today to hire a private contractor to operate and manage the South Hills Village parking garage.

Parkway Parking of Pa. Inc. would be hired for three years at a cost of up to $462,000 for services that include fare collection, customer assistance, cleaning, and preventive and routine maintenance.

The $24 million, 2,200-space garage opened in May 2005.
