X-rays on Evgeni Malkin's injured right foot today did not detect a fracture.
The Penguins star is listed as day-to-day, and his status for the game at New Jersey Wednesday has not been determined.
Malkin was injured late in the second period of the Penguins' 2-1 victory in Tampa Sunday evening, when he was struck by a shot from teammate Kris Letang.
He did not return to the game after the second intermission.
