Memorial area dedicated to Avonworth student killed in crash
Friday, November 20, 2009

The Avonworth School District will dedicate a bench and area for reflection in memory of Jacob Snively at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the middle school.

The memorial is located courtyard area outside the Avonworth Middle School cafeteria.

Jacob, of Ohio Township, died at the age of 12 in a car accident on Feb. 27 en route to a weekend Boy Scouts camping trip. He was a sixth-grader at Avonworth Middle School.

The middle school is still accepting donations for the Jacob Snively Memorial. Any additional money raised will help to maintain the bench and reflection area and be used for the Jacob Snively Memorial Scholarship.
