A 40-year-old man was killed last night in Mercer County after he drove his tractor-trailer off Interstate 80 and the truck flipped onto a median, trapping him inside.

Piotr J. Babiarz, of Middle Village, N.Y., was pronounced dead at the scene by the Mercer County coroner.

Mr. Babiarz was driving his 2004 Volvo truck at about 7 p.m. when he drove off the travele lane on the highway in Findley. He was hauling sheet steel at the time.
