Peters schools mandate new graduation project
Tuesday, November 17, 2009

Peters Township High School freshmen will be required to complete a mandatory project before they can graduate, according to the terms of a new policy approved by the school board last night.

Beginning with the Class of 2013, students will be expected to complete an electronic portfolio, explore careers, write a resume and give two presentations in order to graduate.

The graduation project revolves around career goals and requires students to submit college or job applications -- and to successfully complete a classroom or community service project related to their chosen career.
