Q: Is there a reason why the Steelers didn't call time out when the Bengals knelt down on third down with about 15 seconds left?

Scott Smith, Mechanicsburg

BOUCHETTE: They still have that timeout they had left when they got the ball with 1:50 to go on Cincinnati's 33, trailing by six. Perhaps they hope to bank it and get extra credit later in the year for saving it. It would be nit-picking to say they should have used it with 15 seconds left with the Bengals still having a fourth-down play at the Steelers' 37, but anything would have been better than not using it at all.
