Two hospitalized after shooting in Homewood

Two men were hospitalized after being shot while standing on a porch in the 7300 block of Hermitage Street in Homewood.

About 10 shots were fired in their direction around 8 p.m. Friday, according to city police. The men ran inside the house and collapsed on the kitchen floor.

Christopher Brooks, 27, of Homewood, was in serious condition at UPMC Presbyterian with a gunshot wound to the neck. Dwayne Jones, 19, of Homewood, was in stable condition at the same hospital with a gunshot sound to his left leg and left side of his head.

City homicide detectives are investigating. No arrests have been made.
