Two men shot on porch in Homewood

Two men remained hospitalized this morning after being shot while standing on a porch in the 7300 block of Hermitage Street in Homewood last night.

About 10 shots were fired in their direction around 8 p.m., according to city police. The men ran inside the house and collapsed on the kitchen floor.

Christopher Brooks, 27, of Homewood was in serious condition at UPMC Presbyterian with a gunshot wound to the neck.

Dwayne Jones, 19, of Homewood, was in stable condition at the same hospital with a gunshot sound to his left leg and left side of his head. The incident is under investigation by city homicide officers. No arrests have been made. Those will information can call the city homicide squad at 412-323-7161. Anonymous calls are accepted.
