Wood Street subway station closed this weekend
Saturday, November 14, 2009

Port Authority will close the Wood Street subway station today and tomorrow for rail work. Inbound trips will terminate at Steel Plaza.

Spokesman Jim Ritchie said the authority hopes to resume service to Wood Street by 2 p.m. tomorrow.

No shuttle bus service will be provided because of numerous construction detours Downtown, he said. Riders can use regular routes to travel Downtown for free.

Gateway Center station was closed Oct. 31 for two years of construction.
