Speaking publicly for the first time since his 16-year-old son, Jett, died on Jan. 2 after hitting his head on a bathtub during a seizure, John Travolta said that coping with the devastating loss is a daily struggle.
"We've been working very hard every day as a family to heal," Travolta said in an interview with USA Today. Among his and wife Kelly Preston's coping tools are daily religious counseling sessions, People.com reports.
Travolta, 55, a Scientologist, said he broke his silence to focus on his daughter, Ella Bleu. Ella, 9, costars with her parents in her feature-film debut, the comedy "Old Dogs," which opens Nov. 25.
"We decided it was OK to come out and promote, to introduce her to the world and to give her a beautiful future in film," Travolta said.
Preston, 47, said that the grieving process is always evolving. "It's a tricky thing," she noted. "Sometimes, something that's right for the moment is not right the next day. Being with people who are important to you, being with people that you love, I think that's what has primarily helped us the most. Sometimes, being alone, too."
"The outpouring of love from, really, worldwide has been extraordinary," she told the newspaper. "It's been our friends, our family, our church. We partake in spiritual counseling pretty much daily."
When does the queen of all media share the cover of her own magazine with anyone?
When that someone is fellow talk show host Ellen DeGeneres.
That's right: For the second time in its history, O, the Oprah Magazine is letting someone share the cover with Oprah Winfrey, in its December issue, out Thursday.
In fact, the duo posed for four different versions of the cover. One photograph features Winfrey, 55, and DeGeneres, 51, all in white, with Winfrey perched atop a giant gift box. Another has DeGeneres tied up in a string of holiday lights, People.com reports.
Inside, Ellen chats about life with wife Portia DeRossi -- and her new job as an "American Idol" judge.
"They came to me, and it was a total surprise," she says. "I like to try new things because I get bored so easily. And I like the show, so I thought it was a great idea."
And so was having her on the cover of the magazine, Winfrey adds.
"Ellen DeGeneres is a woman who can make things happen," Winfrey says. "When she decided she wanted to be on the cover of O, she pulled out all the stops. It worked -- for only the second time in O history, I'm sharing the cover with a woman I adore."
Breakup rumors … what breakup rumors? Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel stepped out to Jay-Z's concert Sunday night at UCLA and got a surprise performance from Rihanna as well!
The couple watched the concert from the sound booth, where other celebs like Nicole Richie, Samantha Ronson, Tyrese and Taraji P. Henson were also hanging.
Although Ri-Ri (whom tabloids recently linked to J.T.) was on stage, Jess and Justin looked as happy as could be during the entire show.
"Justin held Jessica's hand as they walked into the venue, and he literally held her the entire concert. They were dancing together and singing along to every song," an eyewitness tells E! News of their date night. "He even held her hand as they walked out of the concert."
They weren't the only cozy couple there. Tyrese and Taraji were "very flirty," according to an eyewitness.
"Tyrese gave Taraji a piggyback ride, and they were playing around together throughout the entire concert," adds the eyewitness.
