Zambelli Fireworks Internationale appointed Patrick Brault creative director and choreographer.

Associations & Organizations

Sara Davis Buss of Campbell & Levine was appointed a member of the Human Relations Commission of Allegheny County. Ms. Buss, whose term will expire on Dec. 31, 2012, focuses on public infrastructure, nonprofit and economic development financing.

Albert J. Isacks, director of estate services, Malin Bergquist, was appointed to his third term on the Trust, Estate and Gift Tax Technical Resource Panel of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Kristina Fausti, director of legal and regulatory affairs, Fiduciary360, will join the board of the Financial Planning Association of Pittsburgh in 2010 as director of government affairs.

DRI -- the Voice of the Defense Bar said Henry Sneath was named first vice president. Mr. Sneath is a partner at Picadio Sneath Miller & Norton.

Education

Just two years after the founding of the Center for the Study of Catholic Social Thought at Duquesne, and on the heels of a formalized mission-centered university focus on the African diaspora, the center welcomes its first Spiritan fellow. The Rev. John Kilcrann, C.S.Sp., a native of County Leitrim, Ireland, assumed the yearlong role in August with the charge to develop an online distance-learning course to prepare both ordained and lay people for the difficulties of ministering in situations of deprivation, disease and war.

Sgt. Terri Murphy was appointed the interim police chief of the Carlow University police department.

Wealth Management Strategies Inc. hired Seth Schanwald and Nicole Cavoti as vice presidents and relationship managers.

Law

Sitko, Rodella & Bruno hired Carole Miner Schuman as of counsel to its Pittsburgh office. Ms. Schuman will represent clients in commercial retail and office leasing matters.

Erica L. Koehl joined Babst Calland Clements & Zomnir as an associate in the litigation services group.

Richard N. Lettieri has formed the Lettieri Law Firm, a practice limited to law related to e-discovery and electronic evidence.

(Achieving Student Success through Excellence in Teaching) hired Eileen Edson, Lorraine McKinin, Renee Williams, resource teachers; Jessica Fetterman, resource teacher-on-loan from Brentwood Borough School District; Lauren Milner, customer service specialist; Tracey Price, executive assistant; Karen Savitz, administrative assistant, professional development; Rebecca Shapiro, database administrator/systems analyst; Raymond Follansbee, volunteer coordinator; Dianne Very Stetzer, resource development specialist; and Alison Shapiro, communications/data assistant.
