Geology and history tours

Western Pennsylvania is known for its unusual geography, but why does the region look the way it does? Albert Kollar, a geologist with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History's Geology and Invertebrate Paleontology section, explains at least some of it on two upcoming excursions. On Nov. 15, he and the Nine Mile Run Watershed Association lead an easy walk through Frick Park park examining rocks and formations.
