Carlynton High School girls in grades nine through 12 will play two Powder Puff football games starting at 6 p.m. Saturday at Honus Wagner Field in Carnegie.
The first game will feature the freshmen versus the sophomore girls followed by the juniors playing against the seniors. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students. A concession stand will be open. Proceeds will benefit the junior-senior prom in May.
The Beaver Valley Area Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association invites volunteers to work with Habitat for Humanity of Beaver County at 8 a.m. Saturday at a home in Ambridge.

Learning Express, which opened yesterday in Settlers Ridge, on Campbells Run Road in Robinson, will sponsor a charity night with 20 percent of sales from 5 to 9 p.m. today donated to the local Autism Society of America chapter.
The educational toy store, owned by twin sisters Jennifer Palashoff and Julie Toussaint, will have contests, drawings and raffles with appearances by Elmo and Dora the Explorer, and face-painting and balloon sculpting by Rainbow the Clown through Sunday. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
In recognition of their service to the nation, veterans living in Beaver County are invited to an appreciation day from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at PA CareerLink Beaver County, 2103 Ninth Ave., Beaver Falls.
Veterans are invited to stop for coffee and pastry and to mingle with other veterans in a social setting. Materials will be available along with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with staff members about employment opportunities.

Tuesday is the deadline for individuals, businesses and groups who wish to display lighted, decorated, artificial Christmas trees up to 6 feet tall in the Festival of Trees program Nov. 20 and 21 in the Bridgeville Fire Hall on Commercial Street.
The event, which also includes children's activities, an auction, a bake sale and a memorial tree to honor deceased loved ones, raises money for the Friends of the Bridgeville Library.
