Pittsburgh International gets more flights to Milwaukee, Orlando

Utah-based SkyWest Airlines will offer three nonstop daily flights from Pittsburgh International Airport to Milwaukee starting in December under a partnership with AirTran Airways.

Flights from Pittsburgh to Milwaukee's General Mitchell International Airport will utilize 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200 jets. AirTran currently operates one daily nonstop flight to Milwaukee from Pittsburgh.

Under its partnership with AirTran, Pittsburgh will be one of six destinations SkyWest will serve from Milwaukee. The others are Akron/Canton, Des Moines, Omaha, Indianapolis and St. Louis.

AirTran also announced today that it will add a third daily nonstop flight from Pittsburgh to Orlando on Dec. 17. The airline also flies to Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Tampa and Fort Myers from Pittsburgh.
