13 evacuated from carbon monoxide in Homestead

The Red Cross was called last night to help 13 people who were displaced from a house in Homestead after a possible carbon monoxide leak.

County emergency dispatchers said seven adults and six children were removed from 126 W. Ninth St.

A gas leak likely caused the problem, dispatchers said. No one was hurt.
