The WPIAL announced football playoff pairings tonight and the No. 1 seeds in the four classifications are Gateway (Class AAAA), Thomas Jefferson (AAA), South Fayette (AA) and Rochester (A).

All 32 first-round games will kick off at 7;30 p.m. Friday. First- and second-place teams from each conference play home games in the first round. The championship games are Friday, Nov. 27 at Heinz Field.

Here are the first-round pairings:

CLASS AAAA -- Plum at Gateway; Penn Hills at Upper St. Clair; Latrobe at North Allegheny; North Hills at McKeesport; Baldwin at Woodland Hills; Seneca Valley vs. Central Catholic at Fox Chapel; Penn-Trafford at Bethel Park; Mt. Lebanon at Shaler.

CLASS AAA -- Laurel Highlands at Thomas Jefferson; Montour at Franklin Regional; Knoch at West Allegheny; New Castle at Greensburg Salem; Derry at Hopewell; Trinity at Mars; Hampton at Chartiers Valley; Belle Vernon at Uniontown.

CLASS AA -- Beaver at South Fayette; Aliquippa at McGuffey; Steel Valley at Beaver Falls; Sto-Rox at Shady Side Academy; Kittanning at Mount Pleasant; Burrell at Keystone Oaks; Washington at Center; Greensburg Central Catholic at Freeport.

CLASS A -- Carmichaels at Rochester; Brentwood at Fort Cherry; Jefferson-Morgan at North Catholic; Springdale at Monessen; Burgettstown at Laurel; Serra at Beth-Center; South Side Beaver at Clairton; Monaca at Avonworth.
