UPDATES from Thursday, Nov. 5
Closures for movie filming on Saturday, Sunday -- The Armstrong Tunnels from Forbes Avenue to Second Avenue and the 10th Street Bridge from Second Avenue to Muriel Street, Uptown and South Side will be closed from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Also Saturday, Forbes Avenue from Ross Street to Sixth Street, Downtown, will be closed from noon until 4 p.m.
Second Avenue from Municipal Courts Drive to the Parking Authority's driveway, east of the 10th Street Bridge, will be closed intermittently for periods of three to five minutes from 7 a.m. until noon.
On Sunday, the following closures are in effect during filming:
Armstrong Tunnels from Forbes Avenue to Second Avenue, and the 10th Street Bridge from Second Avenue to Muriel Street from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
The Roberto Clemente, Andy Warhol and Rachel Carson bridges from noon to 2 p.m.

Closures for holiday tree delivery Saturday -- Grant Street between Fourth and Forbes avenues, Downtown, closed Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stanton Avenue between Chislett Street and Heths Way will be closed from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Fort Duquesne Bridge -- Lane closures on approaches to and from Parkway North from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Fort Pitt Tunnels -- One lane closed outbound from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday; lane closed inbound during same times Wednesday and Thursday for tunnel cleaning.
Interstate 79, Marshall -- Northbound lane restrictions and changes in traffic patterns near the bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday to allow crews to install pavement markers.
Monongahela Incline -- Closed 7 a.m. Saturday through 7 p.m. Sunday for tie replacement. Shuttle buses to serve upper and lower stations.
Parkway West, Carnegie -- Inbound reduced to one line near Carnegie (Exit 65) from 9 p.m. Friday to approximately 10 a.m. Saturday. Delays should be expected.
Point Marion Bridge, Fayette and Greene counties -- Closed 7 a.m. to noon Monday during demolition of old bridge. Detour to be posted.
Rankin Bridge -- Traffic shifts to newly constructed lanes at 9 a.m. Friday. Single-lane traffic continues in each direction through October 2010. At 7 a.m. Monday, sidewalk on main span closed for reconstruction. Port Authority has free-ride zone between Rankin and Whitaker for pedestrians. The zone will be in effect on Monday and will last for the duration of bridge construction. To cross from Rankin to Whitaker board 59A West Mifflin bus on Braddock Avenue at the entrance ramp to Rankin Boulevard. In opposite direction, board the 59A at 1216 Monongahela Blvd. Signs will be posted at these temporary stops. Passengers traveling beyond the two points in either direction will be required to pay the appropriate fare.
Route 30, Forest Hills -- Traffic stoppages of 15 minutes or less from 9 p.m. Friday to 7 a.m. Saturday in both directions between Filmore Road and Yost Boulevard while crews install illuminated steel arches above the road.
Route 88, Castle Shannon, Overbrook -- Construction scheduled to start Monday from Castle Shannon Boulevard to Grove Road has been delayed by a few weeks for completion of utility work.
UPDATES from Wednesday, Nov. 4
Boulevard of the Allies, Oakland -- Closed inbound between Jumonville and Miltenberger streets from midnight Friday to noon Saturday. as crews working for the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority mill and pave an area where water line repairs recently occurred.
Fort Duquesne Bridge, Downtown -- On-ramp to bridge from Fort Duquesne Boulevard closed 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday and Thursday nights and 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Tuesday. Right lane of upper deck closed this weekend. Ramp from the northbound (upper deck) bridge to Reedsdale Street/North Shore (Exit 1B) and northbound Route 65 (Ohio River Boulevard/Exit 1C) closed from 4 p.m. to midnight Sunday.
Parkway North -- Single-lane in both directions between I-79 and Belleview-West View from 11 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday for asphalt placement, concrete patching, inlet cleaning and general cleanup needed to complete the project. Restrictions lifted to accommodate pregame and postgame traffic to Pitt football.
Route 910, Harmar, Indiana Township -- Closed westbound from the southbound Route 28 off-ramp to Locust Hill Road from 7 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday in preparation for construction project to start next year.
Wexford Bayne Road, Marshall -- Single lane traffic eastbound in the area of the bridge over Interstate 79 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday.
Allegheny County
Allegheny Avenue and Reedsdale Street, North Shore -- Traffic restrictions through 7 p.m. Wednesday during placement of beams for North Shore Connector.
Blackburn Road, Sewickley Heights -- Closed between Hill Street and Thawmont Road until Nov. 16.
Blythedale Road, Elizabeth Township -- Reduced to alternating single-lane traffic because of collapse of the northbound lane between Shaler Street and Fallen Timber Road.
Browns Hill Road, Squirrel Hill -- Lane restrictions during project to add turn lanes. Work to be suspended for winter after Thanksgiving.
Carnahan Road, Banksville -- Closed from Banksville Road to Crane Avenue through 5 p.m. Friday for repairs.
Cochrans Mill Road, Jefferson Hills -- Closed between Stilley Road and West Bruceton Road until Feb. 1 for bridge replacement. Detour posted.
Dorrington Road, Collier -- Bridge closed over Robinson Run between Cluxton Street and Noblestown Road around the clock through April 2010. Road open to local traffic only.
Fort Pitt Tunnels -- Single-lane traffic from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. outbound Monday and Tuesday nights and inbound during the same hours Wednesday and Thursday nights.
Fox Chapel Road, Powers Run Road, O'Hara, Fox Chapel -- Lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through early November on Fox Chapel Road between Highland Road and Chapel Ridge Road and on Powers Run Road north of Yorkshire Drive during pipeline repairs.
Freeport Road, Blawnox -- Single-lane closures northbound between Old Fox Chapel Road and Alpha Drive from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday with some brief stoppages possible during concrete slab replacement.
Glass Run Road, Baldwin Borough -- Closed between East Carson Street and Cathell Road for water main replacement until mid-November.
Graham Road, Pine -- Closed between Pearce Mill Road and English Road until summer 2012 during replacement of a Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge.
Hulton Bridge, Oakmont -- Alternating single-lane traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekdays through Friday during inspection.
Interstate 79 -- Closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday at Wexford (Exit 73). Traffic restricted to one lane in both directions from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday on the bridge over the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Closed in both directions intermittently from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 6 a.m. Thursday at Wexford. Northbound side closed from 9 p.m. Thursday until 6 the following morning at Wexford. Traffic will use the off- and on-ramps during all closures.
Neville Island Bridge restricted to one lane in each direction nightly from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. during the week and from 8 p.m. Fridays through 6 a.m. Mondays, through late November. Two lanes open in each direction at other times.
One lane closed in both directions between Crafton and Coraopolis, with traffic stoppages up to 15 minutes possible, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays through mid-November during Forest Grove Road Bridge construction.
Jefferson Heights Road, Penn Hills -- Bridge over Parkway East closed through end of year for rehabilitation. Detour posted.
Leech Farm Road, Lincoln-Lemington -- Closed between Highland Drive and Wiltsie Street through Friday during slab replacement. Detours posted.
Liberty Tunnels -- Inbound tunnel closed for major rehabilitation Sundays through Thursdays from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. through late August 2010.
Light Rail Transit -- Gateway Center station closed for construction for two years. Shuttle buses to operate from Steel Plaza.
McArdle Roadway, Mount Washington -- Closed in both directions from the Liberty Bridge to Grandview Avenue from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday for slope seeding.
Old State Road, Pine -- Closed between Whippoorwill Hill Road and Fox Hollow Lane for replacement of a Pennsylvania Turnpike bridge through mid-summer 2012. Detour posted.
McKees Rocks Bridge -- Single lane in each direction through mid-November.
Parkway East -- Single-lane closures and ramp restrictions from 6 a.m. to noon Sunday in both directions near the Liberty Bridge.
Inbound single-lane traffic from the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Churchill from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights and from 9 p.m. Friday to 9 a.m. Saturday. Crews installing signs.
Single-lane closure outbound from 5 a.m. Monday around-the-clock through 5 a.m. Nov. 9, in the area of the bridge that carries Jefferson Heights Road over the Parkway between Penn Hills and Plum. Two outbound lanes will remain open.
Intermittent single- and double-lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday through Thursday nights in both directions between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel to about 1.5 miles west of the tunnels. Outbound restrictions begin two hours later on nights when the Penguins have home games.
Intermittent single- and double-lane closures from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday-Friday inbound between the Squirrel Hill Tunnel and Stanwix Street.
Parkway North -- Single-lane closures in both directions, Monday through Friday, between Bellevue-West View and I-79. Northbound, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. through Friday morning. Southbound, 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Friday morning.
Parkway West -- Intermittent single and double lane closures inbound between the Interstate 79 interchange in Robinson and the Fort Pitt Tunnels from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. nightly Wednesday through Saturday morning. Crews will install signs.
Rankin Bridge -- Traffic in both directions shifted to the curb lanes beginning at 7 a.m. Monday through next Sunday. From Monday through Friday, the section of Kenmawr Avenue in Rankin directly beneath the bridge will have single-lane closures during daylight hours for bridge work. Traffic controlled by flaggers and police. At 9 a.m. Nov. 9, traffic will be shifted to the newly constructed lanes on the Waterfront side of the bridge. Single-lane traffic will continue in each direction through October 2010. Also on Nov. 9, sidewalk on main span to close for reconstruction. Port Authority will provide free shuttle service for pedestrians.
Route 8, Hampton -- Lane closures 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. between Wildwood Road and the Pennsylvania Turnpike during resurfacing through mid-November.
Route 28, Pittsburgh -- Traffic reduced to a single lane in both directions near the 31st Street Bridge from 9 p.m. Monday until 2 a.m. Tuesday for gas line relocation.
Route 28, Tarentum -- Northbound on- and off-ramps at Exit 14 closed around-the-clock through Nov. 17. Detour at newly reopened Exit 15 ramps.
Route 65, Avalon -- One lane closed in both directions between the bridge over Dilworth Run near Wendy's and Locust Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through mid-November during tree and roadside clearance for widening project that will start in the spring.
Route 366, Tarentum -- Single-lane traffic, possible brief stoppages and changing travel patterns between West Seventh Avenue and East 10th Avenue daily from 4 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Friday during concrete slab replacement.
Route 366 Tarentum Bridge -- Single-lane closures in both directions possible from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
Shaler Street, Duquesne Heights -- Traffic reduced to a single lane 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday between Wabash and Wells streets for bridge repair.
Squirrel Hill Tunnel -- One lane closed inbound from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday and Monday nights; one lane closed outbound at same times Tuesday through Thursday.
10th Street Bypass, Downtown Pittsburgh -- Ramp to outbound Fort Duquesne Bridge will close at 9 a.m. Monday for two weeks in ongoing reconstruction of the bridge. Detour is the Fort Duquesne Boulevard ramp to the bridge.
Tri-Boro Expressway -- Expressway/Braddock Avenue closed in both directions from O'Connell Boulevard to Cable Avenue for bridge replacement. Also, East Pittsburgh-McKeesport Boulevard closed from Elder Street to the Tri-Boro Expressway. Main Street under the bridge closed from Braddock Avenue to Bessemer Avenue, all until late this year.
Whittengale Road, North Fayette -- Alternating single-lane traffic continues between Noblestown Road and North Branch Road during slide repairs. Flag crews control traffic weekdays from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until the project is completed Friday.
Armstrong County
Route 422, East Franklin -- Long-term lane closures planned through September 2010 during rehabilitation of two bridges over Route 28.
Beaver County
Route 60 -- Single-lane traffic southbound near the Route 51/Chippewa interchange (Exit 23) around-the-clock through late November.
Butler County
Cliff Street, Butler -- Closed as part of the Route 356 Wayne Avenue Bridge project through Nov. 16. Detour on East Cunningham Street to McKean Street to East Jefferson Street (Route 68) to Main Street (Route 8) and ending back on Wayne Street.
Hartmann Road/Harmony Junction Bridge, Jackson -- Closed for reconstruction expected to continue until June 2010. Detour via Routes 68 and 19 and Little Creek and Seneca School roads.
Fayette County
Route 119, North Union and South Union -- Northbound lanes closed from Redstone Creek Bridge to approximately 1,500 feet past the Gallatin Avenue interchange for Mon-Fayette Expressway construction through Nov. 13. Northbound traffic shifted to southbound lanes, one lane in each direction. Also, the ramp to Route 51 will be closed from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Monday through Friday. Detour posted.
Indiana County
Smicksburg Bridge, Smicksburg and West Mahoning -- Replacement project reduces Route 954 to one-way alternating traffic until May 2010.
Mercer County
Interstate 80 -- Single-lane traffic possible from Ohio line to Mercer (Exit 15) except for weekends (4 p.m. Fridays until 6 a.m. Mondays). Work expected to be completed by May 2010 but will be suspended during winter.
Washington County
Charleroi-Monessen Bridge -- Closed after inspection revealed structural deficiencies.
Donora-Webster Bridge -- Closed until further notice.
Route 40, Washington County -- Closed in both directions in Centerville Borough during repairs of slide condition to be completed by end of November. Detour posted.
Westmoreland County
Route 22, New Alexandria -- Traffic to be switched to westbound side with one lane open in each direction in work zone from Carter Road to Auction Barn Road starting Wednesday or Thursday.
Route 30, Hempfield/North Huntingdon -- Restricted to one lane in each direction between Arona Road and West Penn Drive/Possum Hollow Road during nighttime work.
