Numerous bus routes to be detoured tomorrow
Saturday, October 31, 2009

More than 40 bus routes will be detoured throughout a five-hour period tomorrow during the Dick's Sporting Goods/MedExpress Half Marathon.

The event is scheduled from 7 a.m. to noon and travels through several city neighborhoods, including the South Side, North Shore and Downtown.

Regular Sunday service schedules will be restored as quickly as possible after runners pass. During the event, many routes will use different streets and some stops might not be served.

Route-by-route details of the changes are available at the Port Authority's Web site--www.portauthority.org

Riders also should note that the Gateway, Wood Street and Steel Plaza T stations are closed this weekend due to track work. T service starts and stops at the First Avenue T station until Monday morning.

For more information, contact a Customer Service representative at 412-442-2000 or the TTY number, 412-231-7007, for the speech and hearing impaired.
