Are blocked punts a reason for concern?

Q: What is up with the two blocked punts in the past month or so? Is this something we should be concerned with?

John Jenkey, Plantation, Fla.

MUSSELMAN: Two blocked punts in the past five games are definitely a concern for a team that has plenty of problems on the special teams. Jeremy Boone had not had a kick blocked in 110 attempts until Iowa's Adrian Clayborn blew past protector Nick Sukay to block Boone's kick last month and return it 53 yards for the go-ahead touchdown. And last week at Michigan, Brandon Graham blocked another Boone kick, although the Wolverines' didn't convert, fumbling two plays later. Coach Joe Paterno summed it up best this week, saying: "Each game we go into I'm more worried about the kicking game."
