County bar association endorses nine local judges
Friday, October 09, 2009

The Allegheny County Bar Association has endorsed all nine local judges running for retention in the November election. None of these judges plans to campaign, a bar association representative said, in order to dedicate their time to their duties on the bench.

The political action committee of the Allegheny County Bar Association has agreed to campaign on their behalf, said Jay A. Blechman from the association's Judicial Excellence Committee.

The sitting judges backed by the members of the bar are state Superior Court Judge Kate Ford Elliott; Commonwealth Court Judge Dan Pellegrini; from the Court of Common Pleas, Judge Kim Berkeley Clark and Judge Kim D. Eaton, of the family division, Judge Robert J. Colville, Judge Paul F. Lutty, Jr. and Gene Strassburger, of the civil division, Judge Jeffrey A. Manning and Judge Kevin G. Sasinoski, of the criminal division.
