Rick Klimchock was named the girls' basketball coach at Franklin Regional.

Klimchock made quite a mark previously coaching boys' basketball, as he guided Jeannette for 14 seasons, compiling a 243-117 record, making the playoffs 13 times and winning or sharing six section titles with the Jayhawks.

He resigned from Jeannette in 2006, but decided to get back into coaching, taking over at Franklin Regional for Rob Greenleaf, who left Franklin Regional and is the girls' coach at Knoch.
