Nothing dangerous in package left at City-County Building
Monday, July 27, 2009

A package found on the portico of the City-County Building this afternoon contained nothing dangerous, officials said today.

City Public Safety Director Michael Huss said the bomb squad detonated the package, noticed around 1 p.m. It contained a blood-pressure cuff, and Mr. Huss said he didn't think it had been left there as a threat.

Crews responded to the building around 1 p.m., and the incident was over by around 2:30.
