A Fayette County teenager died last night after her car collided with an SUV in Redstone, state police said.
Angela Miller, 18, apparently lost control of her Pontiac Grand Prix, which crossed into oncoming traffic and collided with a Ford Escape driven by Ronnie Tobin Sr. of Brownsville.
Deputy Coroner Marisa Springer pronounced Ms. Miller dead at the scene at 11:13 p.m.
Investigators said Ms. Miller, of Republic, had been speeding eastbound at about 10:30 p.m. on Grindstone Road when her car crossed into the westbound lane and struck the passenger side of Mr. Tobin's vehicle.
Mr. Tobin and one of his passengers, Samantha Gaylor of Brownsville, were taken by helicopter to a trauma center in Pittsburgh.
Their conditions were not immediately available.
Two other passengers in the Tobin vehicle, April Gaylor and Mr. Tobin's 22-month-old son, Ronnie Jr., were taken to Uniontown Hospital, police said.
April Gaylor suffered moderate injuries and Ronnie Jr. was only slightly injured.
State police in Belle Vernon are investigating.
