State police are accusing two Bedford County men of throwing a barrel and sandbags over a bridge on the Pennsylvania Turnpike early this morning, damaging moving vehicles below.
The accused, Eric James Johnson and Rusty Neil Martin, both 20 and from Everett, are being investigated for propulsion of missiles, according to police. The debris, which was thrown over Ritchey Road in Everett, hit three tractor trailers. No one was injured.
State police arrived at the scene shortly before 3 a.m. and chased the two men, who drove through the nearby yards of two Everett residents.
Although police said the pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns, they later arrested the two at Mr. Johnson's residence.
