Today is Independence Day, and Pittsburgh's fireworks display will start at 9:35 p.m. Downtown.

Port Authority will operate on a holiday schedule today and tomorrow, with two-car trains on the Light Rail Transit system today to accommodate the fireworks crowd. Extra buses are scheduled to operate this evening. Also, a bus shuttle will operate between the Mon Incline stations starting at 7 p.m. to augment incline service.

State liquor stores will be closed today.
