New Business/New Offices

Apple Box Studios moved to 216 Blvd. of the Allies, 6th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15222.

Dunham's Sports opened a new store at 200 Northtowne Square in the Northtowne Square Plaza, Gibsonia. Store hours are 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.

Contracts

Landau Building Co. was awarded a contract from Robert Morris University for the extensive renovation of the following student housing facilities: Adams Hall, Hamilton Hall, Hancock Hall, Gallatin Hall and Ross Hall.

Sewickley Graphics & Design Inc.'s new client account is Pittsburgh Mailing, for Web site design and development.

Awards/Honors

Gateway Rehabilitation Center received a gift of $175,000 from the Richard King Mellon Foundation to support Liberty Station, Gateway's halfway house for adolescent males, in Bridgeville. It is a 24-bed program for boys and men, ages 13 to 21, who have completed a regular course of addiction treatment but need a longer period of supervised living to maintain sobriety. It is one of only two such programs for youth in Pennsylvania. This is the second gift Gateway has received from the Richard King Mellon Foundation to support youth programs -- bringing the total amount to $925,000. Gateway Rehabilitation Center is a nationally recognized, private, not-for-profit organization that provides treatment for adults, youth and families with alcohol and other drug dependencies.

Malin Bergquist & Co. LLP said accountants Cole Beehner, Lindsey Bierer and Carol Rose received designations as certified public accountants.

S&T Bank said Charles G. Urtin, vice chairman of the S&T Bancorp, Inc. board, was recognized by the Pennsylvania Bankers Association for his 41 years of service to the banking industry. Mr. Urtin was inducted into the association's elite 40-Year Club.

The Pittsburgh chapter of the Business Marketing Association hosted the second annual BizMark Awards. Winners for 2009 were Business-to-Business Marketer of the Year: Steve Oslica of Pittsburgh Corning Corp; Business-to-Business Advertiser of the Year: Thomas F. Hoffman of CONSOL Energy Inc.; e-Marketer of the Year: Kim Tarquinio, Pipitone Group; Public Relations Practitioner of the Year: Pattie Sullivan, Euro RSCG Worldwide PR; Advertising Agency Employee of the Year: Kim Tarquinio, Pipitone Group; Production Supplier of the Year: Rod Herrmann Jr., Herrmann Printing; Media Representative of the Year: Lisa Naugle, Key Communications; Fast Tracker of the Year: Lauren Annibale, Yearick-Millea; and Lifetime Achievement Award: Roger Linville, PPG Industries Inc.
