On June 26 at the Gettysburg Festival, Gov. Ed Rendell presented the second annual Governor's Award for the Culinary Arts to Christopher O'Brien, executive chef at Hyeholde Restaurant, Moon. The award recognizes O'Brien's artistic expression through his food, his use of locally sourced food and his commitment to mentoring and educating professional and amateur cooks. At the festival O'Brien created a gourmet dinner along with the festival's artistic director for culinary arts, Walter Scheib, who served as White House executive chef from 1994 to 2005.
