Emergency medical crews revived a man floating in the Allegheny River last night around 8.

A man in his 30s was found face down in the water near the Fort Duquesne Bridge by a River Rescue crew, which was alerted by kayakers, according to James Holman, district chief for city Emergency Medical Services.

The man was put into the river rescue boat, where paramedics began resuscitation and defibrillation. The man regained blood pressure and pulse.

He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.
