Gas drilling at Beedle Park is on hold after a Council vote earlier this month denied Dorso LP's application to put two gas wells in the town's 135-acre park.

A number of residents had approached Council in recent months with concerns about safety, noise and traffic that they said such wells would bring.

Dorso, of Pine, already has two wells on property in the borough near West Jefferson Hills school offices and more than a dozen wells on private properties.
