Wednesday, June 24, 2009

South Strabane supervisors are expected to hold a public hearing next month regarding Giant Eagle's request for a liquor license.

Solicitor Thomas Lonich said the grocery store has requested a liquor license be transferred from outside the township to its business. Supervisors voted last night to allow Mr. Lonich to advertise a public hearing on the matter.

Mr. Lonich said he intends to schedule the hearing for July 28.
