State police said there was a moo-ving violation in Mercer County when a cow wandered onto Route 208 in Springfield Township shortly before midnight.

There it was struck by a car driven by Paul McConnell of Mercer.

The 1995 Subaru Legacy was disabled by the crash. Mr. McConnell was not injured.

As for the cow, it's unknown because she left the scene of the accident, heading northbound.
