Riverside
The past week: Falk pitched a one-hitter in an 8-0 victory against Sto-Rox in the WPIAL Class AA championship game. In the first round of the PIAA playoffs Monday, she pitched a four-hitter and struck out seven in a 4-1 victory against Karns City.
Check this out: Falk has a 17-1 record this season. She has been Riverside's starting pitcher since her freshman year and also is a strong hitter. She has led the Panthers to two consecutive WPIAL titles and will play next season at Edinboro University.
You've only given up two runs in five postseason games. Are you peaking or is this pretty much par for the course? I've been working pretty hard with my dad lately, and he's been trying to help me with pitch selection. It's really been paying off.
Is this team better than last year's? I would say yeah. It seems like our team chemistry is good and our defense has really been amazing.
Can you win the PIAA? I really think we can. None of us want to be done yet. There are four seniors on the team and we keep saying, 'We can't end the season yet.'
Next to softball, what is your favorite sport? I like watching football. I like watching the Steelers.
Are you going on a senior trip after graduation? No. A lot of my friends' parents are a little iffy on us going to the ocean or a place like that.
Will you have a summer job? I work at Giant Eagle in the floral department.
What will you do on graduation night? Probably get emotional and end up crying.
A movie you could watch over and over again? 'Stepbrothers' is really funny.

Ryan Oglesby
North Allegheny
The past week: Oglesby was the winning pitcher in last Wednesday's 6-3 victory against Pine-Richland in the WPIAL Class AAAA championship. He also shut out Hollidaysburg, 9-0, Monday in the first round of the PIAA playoffs.
Check this out: Oglesby, a junior right-hander, has a 9-0 record. He has turned into North Allegheny's ace after pitching only junior varsity last season. He also has rebounded well from an arm injury last summer. Oglesby's brother, Sean, is one of North Allegheny's top hitters.
With the injury, and only pitching JV last year, did you ever expect this much success this season? I thought I'd be pitching for varsity, but I never would've thought I'd be 9-0 and starting playoff games. I thought I'd be a reliever or middle innings kind of guy.
You and your brother had big games in the WPIAL championship. Did your mother do anything special afterward? She got the stories from newspapers and already had them laminated and hanging in our room the next day.
Is there any sibling rivalry with you and your brother? At times. Whenever I'm having success, he sometimes feels he has to prove he's better than me. Every time we face each other in the batting cages, he has to get the upper hand. But it's all in fun. It's a fun rivalry.
You play Pine-Richland again in the PIAA quarterfinals. What is it like to play a team for the fourth time? It's tough because every game has been a good game. We just have to go out there and take care of business.
Do you watch the NBA playoffs? Occasionally.
Do you watch the NHL playoffs when the Penguins aren't playing? Not at all. I'm not a big hockey fan.
People might be surprised to know that ... I'm probably the best Wiffle Ball player in Pennsylvania. It's life for me and my brother.
