Q: Coach Mike Tomlin appears more animated and passionate this year--any thoughts from you on your perception on what you have seen and what some reasons may be?

ED BOUCHETTE: I agree and I believe it's natural. Anyone in his first year on a job is probably more reserved than he is after he feels more comfortable not only in what he's doing but in the people who work with him and for him. Last year was Tomlin's first as a boss on the sideline, and he only had one year's experience as a coordinator. Before that, he was a secondary coach in Tampa Bay, and there's not a lot of public scrutiny that goes with that position. I believe this year we're seeing more of the real Mike Tomlin on the sideline and the kind of demeanor he will present in the future.
