I was so excited to see that tomato and peanut butter sandwiches are favorites with other people! [Food & Flavor, Sept. 18] My mom used to make those all the time, and as the years went by, so did I.
However, I got so used to the "ews" and "yucks" whenever I mentioned this combination that I kept it my little secret. Glad to know others appreciate this sandwich. Somehow, I feel redeemed.

You could easily divide the ingredients into two or three, but I made all three loaves and gave two to friends.
