The Southwestern Pennsylvania Hazardous Waste Task force will sponsor a hazardous waste disposal today at Manheim Pittsburgh, formerly Butler Auto Auction, on Route 19 in Cranberry from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Residents can safely dispose of common household products such as cleaners, automotive fluids, paints, pesticides, car batteries and pool chemicals.
A fee of $2 per gallon -- cash only -- will be charged for disposal.
Other household chemical collections are scheduled for:
Sept. 27 at Station Square, South Side, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Oct. 4 at Bradys Run Park, Beaver County, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
