Thursday, August 14, 2008

Pitt freshman receiver Cameron Saddler is out for the season with a torn ACL in his left knee.

Saddler, who is a Gateway graduate, twisted his knee Tuesday during punt return drills and it was a non-contact injury.

An MRI yesterday revealed the injury. He will have surgery and he will redshirt this season.

More details in tomorrow's Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
