Market Square rally to mark ADA anniversary

Downtown's Market Square will be the rallying point for a celebration of the 18th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act from noon to 1 p.m. Monday by the Three Rivers Center for Independent Living, City of Pittsburgh/Allegheny County Task Force on Disabilities and the Parent Education and Advocacy Leadership Center, PEAL.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will feature speakers from various organizations for people with disabilities including Stanley Holbrook, executive director of the Three Rivers Center for Independent Living; Sally Jo Snyder, Consumer Health Coalition; Paul O'Hanlon, Disability Rights Network; Pamela Dixon, MS Society; Liz Healy, PEAL Center; and Joan Badger, Danny Shirey and other members of the disability community.

There also will be anniversary cake and musical entertainment.
