The Pirates, who are sending Xavier Nady and Damaso Marte to the New York Yankees, will receive four minor leaguers, including three pitchers, in return.
The pitchers are right-hander Ross Ohlendorf, who spent part of this season in the Yankee bullpen, right-hander George Kontos and left-hander Phil Coke. Both are with Class AA Trenton, as is center fielder Jose Tabata, who turns 20 years old Aug. 12.
Ohlendorf currently is starting for Class AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He turns 26 Aug. 8 and perhaps could soon be in the spot starter mix with the Pirates.
