Environmental officials have issued air quality alerts for tomorrow and Sunday and hot and hazy conditions are expected in the region.
Ozone and fine particulates are both expected to be in the unhealthful range tomorrow.
A warning about particulates has also been issued for Sunday.
Those with breathing problems, the very old and very young should curtail outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day. People are also asked to restrict driving, grass cutting and other things that cause air pollution.
