Tickets for "The Dark Knight" are so hot that hundreds of theaters here and across the country are reporting advance sellouts and adding screens to try and accommodate the crowds.

AMC Loews at the Waterfront, for example, added screenings so that there would be shows almost every half-hour for tomorrow's opening, which occurs just after midnight. Midnight shows there were sold out, but the SouthSide Works Cinema had two screens available to add midnight shows -- its two planned midnight screenings were virtually sold out as of yesterday afternoon.

Still, movie-goers are encouraged to call theaters before going, to make sure tickets are available.
