• What to do: Everything you usually do in a pool, just include waves into the fun factor. The first wave pool came around in Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey in the 1940s. Waves were generated in the salt-water pool by a waterfall at one end. There's no waterfall at the South Park Wave Pool, but at least it's salt-free. It's open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
