Plans to restrict Parkway East traffic in both directions for construction between Edgewood-Swissvale and Business Route 22 have been canceled because of a rainy forecast.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has closed three ramps on the Crosstown Boulevard/I-579 below Mellon Arena over the weekend: the I-579 northbound exit ramp to Seventh Avenue and the exit ramps from Bedford Avenue to I-579 south and Seventh Avenue to Downtown.

PennDOT said the repair schedule will be modified to accommodate tomorrow's hockey playoff game at Mellon Arena.
