Union, parking authority approve labor contract
Friday, May 16, 2008

The Pittsburgh Parking Authority and Teamsters Local 926 have reached agreement on a new labor contract, which was approved by the authority's board yesterday. The local approved the deal last month.

The authority announced that the three-year pact includes annual salary increases and requires workers to pay a portion of their health insurance bill.

Three years ago, the local went on strike against six lot operators, including the authority, before reaching contract deals with some of them.
