What to do: Started in April 1993 amid the typical Scottish weather of freezing rain and wind gusts, this three-day festival has grown to attract thousands to Edinboro. Includes dance and heavy athletic contests -- caber toss (20-foot, 100-pound wood pole), hammer throw, putting the stone -- rugby tournament, bagpipers, sheep to shawl weaving, fire eaters, storytellers and more.
